Welcome!

Students who were previously undergraduates working toward a degree and who wish to return to Rutgers should submit the online re-enrollment application on this website. This includes students who:

• Wish to return to their previous school at Rutgers University
• Wish to return through another school at Rutgers
• Have a Rutgers degree already and wish to return for a second degree
• Were previously matriculated at Rutgers and now wish to take courses on a non-matriculating basis
• Serve in the U.S. Armed Forces, National Guard, or Reserve who withdrew to fulfill military service obligations*

Re-Enrollment Procedures

• Be sure to carefully review the admission/graduation requirements for the school in which you are considering re-enrollment before you submit your re-enrollment application. Admission is competitive and admission criteria are minimal requirements. Meeting the minimal requirements does not guarantee admission.
• Review the application procedures and timeline.
• Submit your online application by the deadline indicated.

You can submit only one re-enrollment application at a time.

* Students whose enrollment was interrupted due to military service will be readmitted to the University with the same academic standing and status they held when they last attended. Upon written request, readmission will be granted for the next academic semester following the request, and no fee will be charged. This policy applies to students serving in the U.S. Armed Forces, National Guard, or Reserve who withdraw to fulfill military service obligations. For more information, please see NJ Law (P.L. 2025, c.033), which mandates that public colleges and universities must readmit undergraduate students whose studies were paused due to military service.
